BIOGRAPHY:

Since 2001, Paul Niemi has been securing coverage with national, regional and local media outlets  in the areas of parenting, education, toys, entertainment, performing and visual arts, children's books, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and home decor.  

Most recently Paul worked with new book author Yolanda Acosta on the national book launch of Acosta, a tell-all memoir about her Mexican immigrant family and her Major League pitching coach brother Oscar Acosta. He also publicized renowned Jemez Pueblo potter Kathleen Wall on her  "Celebrating Native Legacies: Works in Clay by Kathleen Wall" exhibit at Albuquerque's Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. He is hopeful that he will have the opportunity to work with other Native American artists and groups in the future.

Paul has consulted on projects such as "A Tribute to Nelson Mandela at Rockefeller Center" ; "Icons of Elegance: The Most Influential Shoe Designers of the Twentieth Century" at Toronto's Bata Shoe Museum; The Canadian launch of C-IN2 Underwear; Love and Pride; Kelly Hoppen for Bergdorf Goodman; Jane Seymour for Saks, Incorporated; The Madison Avenue Business Improvement District' annual "Pink Ribbon Project; and Alberto V05.  As a publicist with Scholastic, the global children's publishing, media and education technology company, Paul worked on PR efforts for the launch of the Spanish-language version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

He was also the spokesperson for the Harry Potter Knight Bus Tour leading up to the national launch of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. As bilingual spokesperson for Back To Basics Toys' 2007/2008 Holiday Classic Toy Tour, Paul was seen on Fox News Channel's "The Fox Report with Shepard Smith", WNBC (NYC), My Fox DC, My Fox Boston, My Fox Philadelphia, ABC Cleveland and Telemundo 47 (NY/NJ/CT).  In 2008, he also appeared as a spokesperson for summer reading on DFW's "Good Morning Texas,"as well as on WABC 's "Eyewitness News" Morning Show (NYC).  

Paul was instrumental in bringing awareness of Scholastic's products and services to the Latino community through the production of Spanish-language television segments for CNN en espanol, New York 1 Noticias and placements on such shows as "Cada dia con Maria Antoineta," as well as product placements in Latina Magazine, The New York Times, El Diario, Hoy Spanish Newspaper, El mercado de dinero, El nuevo latino del Washington Post and more.

On the West Coast, Paul spearheaded the successful 2006 national PR campaign for the prestigious Bellingham Festival of Music in Washington State and served as the publicist for the Bellingham Theatre Guild from 2003-2005.  He also represented well-known Vancouver artist, Jennifer Mawby in 2005 for her U.S. solo debut in Seattle.  A graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, Paul reads, writes and speaks fluent Spanish.
